- The association shall be called ‘The British Pyrotechnists Association’ (BPA)
- Aims and Objectives of the BPA
- To promote the UK professional firework display industry
- To raise the standards of competence and safety within the industry by education and the provision of specialist knowledge training courses, examinations and by promoting best practice
- Members of the BPA
- Membership of the BPA is for professional firework display companies and not for individuals
- The association shall set membership criteria
- Membership will be renewed on an annual basis on production of required documents and payment of a subscription fee
- Finances
- The association’s financial year shall commence 1st January
- Each member’s fee shall go towards the costs of administering the association
- General Rules of the BPA
- BPA members are required to abide by the rules of the association
- BPA General Meetings
- General meetings open to all members will be held at least 3 times a year
- BPA Management Committee (MC)
- BPA members will elect a Management Committee who will administer the running of the BPA
- BPA Chairperson
- BPA members will elect a chairperson from the management committee
- BPA Secretariat
- The BPA will have an independent secretariat appointed by BPA members
- The secretariat will administer the day to day running of the association and training courses
